The AI listing checker reviews one live product page at a time. Paste a public Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, Amazon, or eBay URL to see what a buyer can understand, which details may be missing, and which three changes deserve attention first.

## How the listing checker works

1. **Verify the page.** The checker canonicalizes the URL, restricts retrieval to the submitted storefront or marketplace, and rejects a page it cannot match to the exact product.
2. **Review five buyer questions.** It evaluates product clarity, the promise and target buyer, missing information, fulfillment and variants, and sensitive claims or brand terms.
3. **Return a practical report.** Each check receives up to 20 points with evidence from the page and one concrete correction. The report also orders three actions by likely buyer impact.

The analysis uses only public listing information. It does not access a store admin, customer data, orders, or unpublished drafts.

## What the five checks cover

- **Product clarity:** what the buyer receives, its format, quantity, use, and differentiators.
- **Promise and target buyer:** who the product is for and whether the benefit is specific and credible.
- **Missing information:** size, materials, care, compatibility, licensing, or usage details buyers may need before purchase.
- **Timing, personalization, and variants:** processing, shipping, customer instructions, and coherent choices.
- **Claims and brand signals:** medical, safety, financial, performance, or absolute claims and terms that may refer to another brand.

Each check is deliberately narrow. A high score means the public text answers that buyer question clearly; it does not guarantee sales, marketplace approval, or legal clearance.

## How to read the score

| Score for one check | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| 16–20 | Clear and useful, with only minor improvements available. |
| 8–15 | Understandable, but an important buyer question or conversion gap remains. |
| 0–7 | Confusing, materially incomplete, inconsistent, or high-risk. |

The overall score is the sum of the five checks. Use it as a diagnostic, not a benchmark against other sellers. The evidence and recommended correction are more useful than the number on its own.

## Use the three priorities first

Start with the first action and edit the live listing before working through every detail. Recheck the page after the material changes are published, then compare the finding—not only the score—to confirm that the buyer question is now answered.

For a personalized product, pay particular attention to what the buyer submits, when they see an accurate preview, how variants affect the result, and what happens if an input cannot be used. Those details reduce uncertainty before checkout and avoid preventable production work later.

## What the checker cannot verify

- Image content and visual quality are not evaluated. Image counts and alt text may also be unavailable to public search.
- Marketplace search results can omit processing, personalization, shipping, or variant details shown elsewhere on the page.
- Brand terms are signals to verify in official databases, not conclusions about registration or infringement.
- The report is an editorial review, not legal advice, trademark clearance, or a promise of marketplace compliance.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does the checker edit my listing?

No. It reads the public page and returns a report. You decide which recommendations to apply in your store or marketplace account.

### Is the submitted URL saved?

No. Personalize.design does not store the submitted URL, retrieved listing data, or generated report. Operational logs contain only a request identifier, duration, and result code, while analytics exclude listing content and identifiers.

### Is this a trademark search or legal clearance?

No. The checker can flag terms that deserve verification, but it cannot determine whether a term is registered, licensed, safe to use, or infringing. Use official trademark databases and qualified legal advice for decisions that require clearance.

## Put the findings into the product model

Once the page is clearer, check whether the price still supports the promise. Use the [POD profit calculator](/tools/personalized-product-margin-calculator/) to model fulfillment, marketplace fees, personalization spend, and target margin before publishing the final offer.
